Ravi is a highly experienced business leader with more than 35 years in private credit, investment banking and asset management.

Until 2025, he was Managing Director of ThinCats, one of the UK’s leading lenders, where he led the firm’s growth strategy and lending operations and was the driving force behind more than £2.5bn of lending to UK SMEs. Before that, he held senior roles at Dexion Capital, New Star Asset Management and HSBC Investment Bank.

Ravi founded Ignite in 2026 and leads the business as Managing Partner. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG and is a non-executive director of Capital Gearing Trust.

Chris is a seasoned financial markets professional with 30 years’ experience across the UK and the US.

Most recently, he was Managing Director of Level, a specialist lender to the legal sector. Before that, he was Head of Corporate Advisory and Direct Investments at Salamanca Group. He spent the first 15 years of his career in the Global Markets businesses of JPMorgan Chase and Bank of America Merrill Lynch. He also served for three years as a non-executive director of Bletchley Park Asset Management, a digital assets hedge fund.

At Ignite, Chris leads the firm’s operations, overseeing the systems, processes and controls that support its lending and growth. He has a degree from St Catherine’s College, Oxford.

Richard is a recognised specialist in healthcare and education lending, with more than 27 years’ experience in both sectors.

He was previously Head of Healthcare at ThinCats, where he built it into the sector’s leading non-bank lender, earning numerous sector awards and nominations. Before that, he held senior roles at RBS, AIB and Chandler & Co. He also spent six years owning and running care homes, which gives him a first-hand understanding of the sector and the challenges it faces.

At Ignite, Richard leads the healthcare strategy, working alongside advisers and operators to fund proven businesses across the sector.

Sonal is a skilled operations leader with extensive experience supporting senior leadership teams across professional and financial services.

She spent almost four years at ThinCats supporting the Board and senior management, working across stakeholder relationships, governance and the operational frameworks that underpin growth.

At Ignite, Sonal works closely with the Managing Partner and senior leadership team, building the operational foundations, people processes and infrastructure the business needs to grow.
